What is the current status of my Florida homeowners policy with Florida Select?

Based upon the financial condition of the company, Florida Select started sending out non-renewal notices and cancellation notices to its Florida policyholders on December 28, 2006. If you received a non-renewal notice, your policy was not renewed by Florida Select. Policies with a normal expiration date, or those policies that are cancelled for non-payment of premium prior to the cancellation date on your notice, shall stand cancelled as of the earlier time and date.

No. Florida Select ceased writing any new business effective July 7, 2006.

I am a Florida Policyholder who received a cancellation notice from Florida Select. Will I get a refund of my remaining premium?

Return premium refunds were processed within the company’s normal procedures. If you received a cancellation notice and previously paid your premium without use of a premium finance company, the premium refund should have been sent to you. If you financed your premium through a premium finance company, the refund was returned to the premium finance company.

If you have not received a premium refund and feel you are due one, please contact the Receiver using the "Contact Us" form or by calling 850-413-3081
