Why did I receive this invoice
for due unearned commission?
The billing statement represents the unearned commissions due on the private passenger
and commercial auto policies and/or commercial lines written through your agency on behalf
of Aries Insurance Company.
Sections 631.154, 626.561 and 631.155, Florida Statutes authorizes the Department of Financial Services
as Receiver for Aries Insurance Company in liquidation, to collect these unearned commissions.
I cannot afford to pay the unearned commission in one lump sum payment.
Is there any way that a payment plan can be set up?

May I pay the unearned commission by credit card?
Yes. If you wish to charge the balance due on a credit card, you may complete the
“Remittance Advice” form included in your bill and submit to:

My records show the amount of unearned commission due is
different from the amount indicated on the bill. What should I do?
You must give the Receiver written notice of your dispute. You must provide detail of
your calculation of the unearned commission and the reason that supports your totals.
If you fail to dispute or object in writing to the billed amounts
the Receiver will consider the balance to be correct and expect payment in full.

Will my earned commission claim be paid by FIGA or FWCIGA?
If you would like a proof of claim form, please contact the Receiver by
using our "Contact Us" form.
Alternatively, you may contact the Receiver at 800-882-3054.
What is my responsibility to the policyholders?
Section 631.341(2), Florida Statutes requires that agents send by
certified mail or registered mail to the last known address of any
policyholder a written notice of the insurer’s insolvency before the
court-ordered cancellation date of the policies, which was December 14, 2002.
