Property Section
The Property Section, within the Bureau of Property, Financial and Risk Services, provides insurance coverage for all state owned buildings and contents through the State Risk Management Trust Fund Program. Coverage is provided for approximately 21,000 locations statewide and property values total more than $14 billion.
The section also processes more than 250 property insurance claims annually. Replenishment funds for property losses are paid on an Actual Cash Value (ACV) basis to insured agencies.
The Property Section provides customer service functions for all state agencies. These services include training programs relating to property insurance, building valuation and consultation pertaining to handling property losses and filing a claim.
